Van Spronsen Named 2012 Team MVP
Senior right-handed pitcher Ryan Van Spronsen (Brantford, Ontario / Assumption College) has been named the 2012 Wagner Baseball Team MVP as announced by head coach Jim Carone.
The baseball MVP award is sponsored by the Brotherhood of the Delta Nu Fraternity. It is named in honor of Lt. Robert Gall, a captain of the Seahawk baseball team who was killed in action in Vietnam.
Van Spronsen, who also garnered Second Team All-NEC accolades, had one of the top pitching seasons in school history, going 8-1 with seven complete games, a 2.07 ERA with 65 strikeouts over a school-record 100.0 innings of work.
The Canadian native, who was recently named as the Wagner College Con Edison Male Scholar Athlete of the Year Award, helped the Seahawks to wins in nine of his 12 starts.

Seahawk Baseball Camps at Wagner College are dedicated to providing a baseball camp that is both instructional and information along with creating a great atmosphere to learn!
The coaching staff here at Wagner College prides itself on teaching the game of baseball to players of all ages and ability levels. All camps are taught by our coaching staff and players. The mechanics and drills that are taught at our camps are used with our college players. We are determined to provide the best possible learning experience for our campers.
