Camp Description

 

Spend part of the 2013 winter break with the Diamond-Dawgs!

This is a unique opportunity for boys and girls ages 5-12 to spend two days with the Washington Huskies baseball team.

The 2013 Holiday Youth Camp is designed with FUN in mind. Campers will learn the fundamentals of baseball and have fun doing it!

This two-day winter baseball experience will provide high-quality instruction that covers every every aspect of the game. Campers will enjoy various drills and friendly competitions throughout the day. The camp is designed to teach basic techniques as well as reinforce fundamentals and provide instruction for advanced players. Campers will be separated into groups based on age/experience.

Location:
The camp will be headquartered at the Dempsey Indoor Center, one of the top collegiate indoor facilities in the nation. Also time will be spent at Husky Ball park. Campers will use the Diamond-Dawgs practice fields, bullpens, covered hitting facility, and team meeting rooms

Items to bring:
Bat, batting gloves, glove
Baseball pants & hat
Cleats
Non-cleated tennis shoes or baseball turf shoes
Catchers should bring their own gear
Please label all personal items
WBS is not responsible for lost or stolen items

Additional Information:
An athletic trainer will be present during all activity.
Water & Gatorade will be provided continually throughout camp day.
Parents are welcome to stay, watch camp, and sit-in on camp meetings.

Important
Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

Camp Check-in

 

Check-in will take place at the Baseball Team operations building prior to the start of camp on the first day. Campers will then proceed to the nearby Dempsey Indoor center after check-in.

Parking Information

 

Parking is available in the E-1 parking lot in front of the soccer and baseball field. All campers are responsible for their own transportation to/from camp each day for this commuter camp.

Meals

 

Snack Bar will be available to purchase snacks and drinks.

Accommodations

 

This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off Information

 

All campers are responsible for their own transportation to/from camp each day for this commuter camp.

Merchandise

 

A camp store with WBS baseball merchandise will be available at Dempsey Indoor Center each camp day.

Miscellaneous Information

 

What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
