Camp Description

 

Open to 2018 and 2019 graduates, our Future's Baseball Camp will offer great instruction and exposure to the UVA Baseball Program and other college coaches in attendance.

The camp will include defensive and offensive instruction and game play.

The cost is $180 or................Interested in playing for two different teams (4 total games)? Just check the box on the registration page. The cost is $180 and please indicate second position in the secondary position field of the registration page.

General Information

 



Players receive:
*2 days of elite professional in-game instruction and a 2 game minimum.
*Opportunity to learn from and be evaluated by the University of Virginia Coaching staff
*Virginia Baseball T-shirt

Equipment:
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Helmets will be provided. Every camper in attendance will be given a numbered UVa Baseball T-Shirt to be worn during camp. However, all campers must bring their own baseball pants.

**Team assignments can be made to accommodate travel plans upon request**

Saturday schedule
10:00-11:30am - Registration @ Davenport Field
11:30am - Introduction from Coach Kirby
12:00pm - Pitching Instruction/College Skills Workout
2:00-5:00pm - Games
5:00pm - Dinner Served
5:30pm - Defensive Breakdown
6:45pm - Offensive Talk/Coach Pitch Game
8:45pm - Camp Ends

Sunday schedule
09:00am - Batting Practice on Field
10:00-3:00pm - Games

Important:
The camp is open to those individuals who are 2018 and 2019 graduates only. Exact numbers will be permitted for each playing position so that campers will have maximum playing time during the games. Campers will be accepted based on position availability at the time we receive your application. The confirmation email will go to the email you provide during the registration process. Pitchers do not hit during games.

Positions are as follows: Pitcher, Catcher, First Base, Infield, & Outfield.

Note: INF will play all three positions in the games-2B, SS, and 3B. OF will play all three positions in the games-LF, CF, and RF.

Atlantic Coast Camps, L.L.C. was founded by UVa Head Coach Brian O'Connor in 2003. Maximizing your ability as a baseball player takes the desire to work and master your skills through repetition, but it begins with learning the proper techniques. It is our mission to create a highly organized, energetic, and fun learning environment in which to provide the best possible instruction in all phases of the game. In addition to the instruction, our camps offer an inside look at the UVa Baseball program, its coaches, and the physical and mental skills taught to its players. Insurance
The cost for the treatment of injuries and hospitalization for illness or injuries incurred during the camps will be the responsibility of the parent or guardian of the participant. Each participant must have a liability/ medical release authorization form signed by a parent/ guardian. A photocopy of insurance card front and back must also be provided.

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

Directions

 

Camp will be conducted Davenport Field.

From the East/West:
Take I-64 to exit 118B (Culpeper-Charlottesville). Take second exit (sign will say University of Virginia Information Center and Business 250 East) and bear right onto Ivy Rd. At second stoplight, turn left on to Copeley Rd. The baseball field is behind the track on the left and not visible from the road. Parking is available in the gravel lot adjacent to the stadium.

From the North:
Take Route 29 south into Charlottesville (Emmet St.). Turn right at Massie Rd. Go to the next stoplight and turn left onto Copeley Rd. The baseball field is behind the track on the right and not visible from the road. Parking is available in the gravel lot adjacent to the stadium.

From the South:
Take Route 29 to Business Route 250 East (sign will say University of Virginia Information Center) and bear right onto Ivy Rd. At second stoplight, turn left onto Copeley Rd. The baseball field is behind the track on the left and not visible from the road. Parking is available in the gravel lot adjacent to the stadium. .

Facility
The setting for the Atlantic Coast Fall Exposure Baseball Camp is the nationally renowned Grounds of the University of Virginia, located in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia. The on-field camp will take place at Davenport Field. This five million dollar facility has been rated in the top 15 nationally for best college baseball venues. This facility is equipped with both indoor and outdoor batting cages, as well as four bullpen mounds and two indoor clay pitching tunnels.

Meals

 

Dinner will be provided Saturday evening only!

This is a commuter camp only. There is no overnight option provided through Atlantic Coast Baseball Camps

UVA merchandise will be available for purchase at each session.

Miscellaneous Information

 

Refund policy:
After receipt of application, refunds will be given if a player is unable to attend due to accident or injury. The refund will be full with the exception of $100 which is needed to cover expenses such as insurance and meals. If the refund is requested within 7 days of the camp the player will be refunded in full with credit toward a future camp. Scheduling conflicts are not cause for refund.
