Camp Description

The High School Prospect Camp offers a overnight option and a commuter option.

The camp allows players who want to play at the highest level of college baseball to be instructed, evaluated and showcase their abilities to the UVa coaching staff along with other college coaches in attendance. This camp continues to draw some of the best players across the country and has gained a great reputation for the structured instruction that is provided. Players will be taken through a pro-style work out, complete with on-field batting practice, a on-field defensive evaluation and timed in the 60 yard dash. The camp also consist of detailed instruction at each position and in all aspects of the game. Players will compete in 2 games on Day 2 to showcase their abilities in front of all of the coaches in attendance. These camps are filled by position, to ensure everyone gets equal playing time during the games. When slots are full for a position, registration will be closed for that particular position.

Our High School Prospect Camps are filled by position. Infielders will play 2B, SS and 3B in games. Outfielders will play all three outfield positions. Pitchers do not hit in games to maximize at bats for position players.

General Information

2nd Position/Game Option:
For those players who play a second position or are interested in getting additional live-game at bats, we offer the option of playing on two different teams. By choosing this option you will be treated like two different campers during game day. Players will play in a total of 4 games (two games at each position). This option is also very popular among pitchers that also play another position and want to get live at bats during the games. If interested in this option, please make sure you provide the positions you would like to play (primary and secondary positions) during the registration process.

The 2-Game Option is an additional $199 to the camp fee.

All meals are provided in this option and will be catered at Davenport Field. Have a friend coming and want to room together? Email Coach Kirby to request a roommate.

Players that choose the commuter option are responsible for their own hotel accommodations. Commuter campers will be provided lunch and dinner during the camp.
