Youth Developmental Camp

Our knowledgeable and energetic staff will provide proper instruction and drills to enhance the skill level of each player. Campers will be instructed in the fundamentals including: hitting, pitching, infield, outfield, catching, base running, bunting, cut-offs and relays, rundowns and sliding. Games will be played to emphasize the techniques learned in daily instruction. The camp will take place at Disharoon Park and The Park on North Grounds throughout the week.

 

Session Days and Times: Monday-Thursday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

 

Players Receive:

*Opportunity to learn from and be evaluated by the UVA Coaching staff

*Days of Fun Baseball

 

Players are grouped by age.

 

Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, helmet and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers do not need to bring gear. The University of Virginia Baseball Program and Atlantic Coast Camps will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

 

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way of communication for the camp. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the email address that you provide through the registration process.

 

Camp Check in: Camp check in will be Monday morning from 8:00-9:00 am at Disharoon Park. An introduction will promptly follow.

 

Meals: Players will need to bring a bagged lunch each day. Water will be provided at the field each day.

 

Accommodations: This is a day camp only. No overnight option available. Our host hotel is the Hampton Inn, they can be contacted at 434-978-7888, please use the code YDC for the camp rate.

 

Refund Policy: After receipt of application, refunds will be given with credit toward a future camp if a player cancels due to accident or injury. The credit will be full with the exception of $100, which is needed to cover prepaid costs. Scheduling conflicts are not cause for refunds. Refunds can be requested but will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
