Jay Johnson Baseball Camps

Below you’ll find our school’s Division I college baseball camps, prospect camps, instructional camps and clinics. Visit us in beautiful Tucson, Arizona for a baseball camp or prospect event and show us your skills!

Our camps range in ages and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you do not see a date that works for you at this time please check back to the site as we add new sessions often.

Our baseball camps and prospect events in Arizona are a great opportunity to take your game to the next level. Each camp is hosted by our college staff here at the University of Arizona.

Description

The Jay Johnson youth summer camp is for grade school ball players from the ages of 6 - 14.  This 4 day camp is an excellent opportunity for your young player to learn and develop his skills. Camp staff will emphasize hitting, fielding, base running, and throwing fundamentals. Campers will have a chance to use their skills in games. Campers will be divided by age and ability for games and drills.  Space is limited! Sign up early!!

 

This camp will focus on all aspects of the game. Each player will have an opportunity to use new skills in games at the end of each day and will learn drills and techniques they can use on their own.

What to bring: Each camper should bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring glove, helmet, bat, hat, batting gloves, and cleats (optional). PLEASE NO METAL CLEATS. Tennis shoes are perfectly fine as well.

 

Parents are welcomed to stay through the duration of the camp, but their attendance is not required.

 

Jay Johnson Baseball Academy camps are open to any and all individuals. All camps are open to the public and all players are welcome to attend that are within ages of the advertised camp. Jay Johnson Baseball Academy camps are not an official function of the University of Arizona.

 

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

 

Check-in

Check-in for camp will begin at 7:30am at the field.

 

Waiver Information

Information & Medical Release Form will be attached to your e-mail confirmation. It is also available in this camp listing.  Please print fill out, sign and deliver this form to the registration check in on the first day of camp.

There will be a 30-40 minute lunch break each day, lunch will not be provided, so please come prepared. 

 

 

Miscellaneous Information

First Aid Responder: There will be a First Aid Responder on staff for any illnesses or injuries.

 

Refund Policy: We do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration. If you choose not to purchase Cancellation Protection, we offer you a camp credit for the full payment to be used at a future camp. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit is also transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp. If campers choose to not use the full payment as credit toward a future camp, they will be subject to a 15% cancellation fee.
