Lobo Baseball Camps

Welcome to Lobo Baseball Camps and Clinics on the campus of the University of New Mexico. We are committed to providing a camp that is both instructional and informational along with creating a great atmosphere to learn! The coaching staff at the University of New Mexico is dedicated to the development and growth of baseball players of all ages and skill levels.

All of our camps and clinics will be run by the UNM coaching staff, current and former UNM student athletes, as well as many top professional, collegiate, and high school instructors from around New Mexico and the Southwest region.

Description

The All Skills Camp is the perfect setting to display your skills and your game to the UNM coaching staff. This camp is designed to teach players the fundamental skills that help make Lobo Baseball successful. Each player will receive instruction in all three key phases of the game: Hitting, Defense, and Pitching. This camp is the perfect way to improve your skills. If you want to get a jump on your competition, this camp is for you.

 

Times/Cost:
9:00am-2:30pm ..... $149.00

 

Equipment
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, helmet, bat, batting gloves and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Please mark campers names on all items. The camp is not responsible for lost belongings.

 

Facilities
Santa Ana Field, will be home to UNM Baseball camps. Indoor facilities are available should inclement weather arise. Campers are responsible for their own transportation to and from fields throughout the camp.

 

Medical Care
A member of the UNM athletic training staff will be present. All medical information on the application must be completed.

Santa Ana Star Field, the University of New Mexico baseball teams practice facility, is located on the west side of University Blvd. SE, just south of The Pit.

 

Take I-25 to the Avenida Caesar Chavez exit. Turn east on Avenida Caesar Chavez, then south on University Blvd. Lobo Field is on the Right.

 

From the airport, take Yale Blvd out of the Airport and turn left on Gibson Blvd. Take Gibson to University Blvd and turn right. Lobo Field is approximately six blocks further, on the left side

 

Meals

Meals are not included at this session.

 

Accommodations

This is not an overnight Camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

 

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off Information

All campers are responsible for their own transportation to/from camp each day for this commuter camp.

 

What if I have to cancel a Camp?
We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called Cancellation Protection. We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.

Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Description

The Team Camp is designed for teams and players to get a jump on the spring season. Take advantage of UNM players and coaches instruction as your team, or player will receive a guarantee of 4 games and 1 team batting practice/ground ball session. Each field will have a UNM player umpiring. Each team will have an assigned UNM player to coach the team as well. The games will be showcase format with 3 outs or 5 hitters per inning. Max playing time of two hours.

 

Varsity level teams from each High School are preferred, and JV teams will need to contact njcbaseball08@gmail.com to get special approval.

Check-in

All teams must register 90 minutes prior to the start time on the first day of camp. All teams will need an adult to check them in and sign at check-in. Check in will be at UNM Baseball Stadium on Saturday morning. Players do not have to report to check in as long as a coach is there to check the entire team in.

Lobo Baseball Select 35 Prospect Camp Spring Session 1

Description

The Lobo Baseball Select 35 Camp is the perfect setting to display your skills and your game to the UNM coaching staff. Created specifically for high school players, campers will be given the opportunity to showcase their abilities in a pro style workout and in game situations for the camp staff. This camp will consist of showcase type drills for the players, defensive rotations, batting practice, and a scrimmage to end the day.

 

The Select 35 Camp will be limited to no more than 35 players in attendance. This is a first come first serve registration, and once 35 players have signed up registration will be closed. Please remember this a prospect camp and players from all over the south-west will be in attendance. Competition will be college level.

 

This camp is designed for the player who is serious about taking their game to the next level and who desires exposure to the University of New Mexico coaching staff. Players in attendance will be evaluated thoroughly by the UNM Coaching Staff. Five players from last years camp have since committed to play for the UNM baseball team, and we are looking forward to another good turnout this year.
