Lobo Baseball Camps

Welcome to Lobo Baseball Camps and Clinics on the campus of the University of New Mexico. We are committed to providing a camp that is both instructional and informational along with creating a great atmosphere to learn! The coaching staff at the University of New Mexico is dedicated to the development and growth of baseball players of all ages and skill levels.

All of our camps and clinics will be run by the UNM coaching staff, current and former UNM student athletes, as well as many top professional, collegiate, and high school instructors from around New Mexico and the Southwest region.

Description

This camp is an opportunity for the serious player who wish to work on their hitting skills under the close instruction of UNM Coach Trey Porras, current, and former Lobo players.

 

Session 1 will focus on developing campers from the 7th grade and younger. Session 2 will develop campers from the 8th grade through seniors in college.

 

Each session will be on Monday evenings. Campers will be coached through batting cage work - in our hitting facility, as well as live on-field hitting, and strength & conditioning fundamentals. Take advantage of this opportunity for personalized instruction from the UNM staff.

 

Session 1 ... 5:00pm - 6:30pm (Jr Class)

Session 2 ... 6:45pm - 8:15pm (Sr Class)

Cost:  $149.00 for all 4 sessions

 

Equipment

Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring running shoes or turf shoes, hat, helmet, bat, batting gloves and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Please mark camper's names on all items. The camp is not responsible for lost belongings.

 

Facilities

Santa Ana Star Field, will be home to UNM Baseball camps. In addition to Santa Ana Field, auxiliary fields on UNM's campus may be used. Indoor facilities are available should inclement weather arise.

Check-in

All campers must register 30 minutes prior to the start time on the first day of camp.

Directions

Santa Ana Star Field (formerly known as Lobo Field), the University of New Mexico baseball team's practice facility, is located on the west side of University Blvd. SE, just south of The Pit.

Take I-25 to the Avenida Caesar Chavez exit. Turn east on Avenida Caesar Chavez, then south on University Blvd. Lobo Field is on the Right.

From the airport, take Yale Blvd out of the Airport and turn left on Gibson Blvd. Take Gibson to University Blvd and turn right. Lobo Field is approximately six blocks further, on the left side

 

Meals

Meals are not included at this session.

 

Accommodations

This is not an "overnight" Camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

 

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off Information

 All campers are responsible for their own transportation to/from camp each day for this commuter camp.

 

Miscellaneous Information

What if I have to cancel a Camp?

We do offer what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration 48 hours before the start of camp.

 

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
