The Winter Elite Pitcher-Catcher Camp is a 2-day camp designed for detailed instruction by the UNC coaching staff, emphasizing the importance of mental and physical preparation for the Division I pitcher and catcher. This camp is designed to both be evaluated by the UNC coaching staff, as well as give players and families an inside look as to how we develop pitchers and catchers the Carolina Way.
Players will have access to the entire baseball facility, including: UNC home locker room, weight room, video room, dining facility, indoor batting cages, indoor bullpens, and players' lounge.
Attendees will throw bullpens, receive instruction, and practice on Bryson field at Boshamer Stadium, home of the Tar Heels. On Saturday, pitchers will practice the exact formula UNC Pitchers use on a daily basis. Every facet of pitching will be touched on including: an activation routine, the mental game, opposing scouting reports, long toss, bullpen routine, and recovery. Sunday, pitchers will learn and perform a UNC lift, be taught the important facets of recovery, and be given key information on what is required to fuel a Division I baseball player.
The catchers who attend camp will focus primarily on defense on Saturday, including: blocking, receiving, throwing, the mental game, and catching bullpens. Catchers will also receive instruction on stretching routines, lifting programs, and a film session. Sunday's focus will be on hitting. Attendees will receive: UNC hitting philosophy, UNC cage drills, BP on the field, pitching machine practice, the mental approach.
Current players will mentor campers during camp answering questions about playing college baseball including time demands, support- academic, medical, nutritional, spiritual, social, etc
Tuition includes all instruction and evaluation, excess medical insurance, individually numbered Nike Dri-Fit Carolina Baseball camp shirt, lunch on Saturday and a written evaluation. Tuition does not include any additional meals, transportation, or lodging.
Only 30 pitchers and 12 catchers are permitted in each camp (42 total) providing extensive evaluation and enhanced attention on each player.

Camper to Staff Ratio:
We make every effort to have an excellent counselor to camper ratio. This ensures quality instruction and individual attention. UNC Pitcher/Catcher Camps are limited to 42 players (30 pitchers & 12 catchers). Coaches include UNC coaches and former or current Tar Heels.
Each camper receives an individually numbered Nike Dri-Fit camp shirt. Official Carolina Baseball game hats and various other Nike baseball items may be purchased during registration and at other times during camp from our camp store.
Carolina Baseball Camps are held at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium, which is located in the heart of the campus of The University of North Carolina.
Each camper must bring his/her own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. There will be limited supplies of bats and gloves that can be provided upon request. UNC Baseball camps requests each camper place his name and phone number on all equipment and items including shoes and clothing.
In case of inclement weather, Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium is equipped with an indoor practice facility that includes three 80-foot batting cages and regulation clay pitching mounds. Camp will begin regardless of inclement weather.
In the event of injury or illness while at camp, your son will be taken to the UNC Hospital located within a mile of Boshamer Stadium. Insurance information provided on the medical for MUST be accurate. All campers must have their own medical insurance. Carolina Baseball Camps, Inc. provides excess coverage after your insurance policy has been utilized. Campers will not be allowed to play unless the information is submitted and the form is signed by the parent or guardian of the camper.
Carolina Baseball Camps are privately owned and operated and not affiliated with the University of North Carolina. All of UNC baseball camps are committed to following and abiding by all NCAA rules, policies and regulations. All Carolina Baseball Camps or clinics are open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender)
Camp Waiver Information
Please bring your completed medical form and waiver with you on the day of camp. The medical form DOES NOT have to be completed by your physician. Campers WILL NOT be permitted to participate without a completed medical form and waiver. Please bring these forms with you to check-in. DO NOT mail, email, or fax this form back to us.

UNC Baseball Camps have an open-door policy regarding watching your son practice and play while at camp. Should you want to arrange an official tour of campus, you will need to contact the Admissions Office at (919) 966-3621. Camps are not permitted to take campers on campus tours due to NCAA restrictions. Visitors must make their own arrangements for parking as it may not be permitted on the day of camp. Parents may park in the Rams Head Parking deck anytime, which is located just down the hill on Ridge Road.
The camp is not an overnight camp, thus players are responsible for their own hotel and transportation.
Refund Policy / Cancellation Protection:
We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 7 days prior to the start of camp. If you cancel within 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date. Outside of our Cancellation Protection policy, there are NO REFUNDS for any reason.
