Bob Mumma Youth Baseball Camp at UMBC II

The Bob Mumma Youth Baseball Camp is designed to provide the camper with a fun-filled and enjoyable experience while learning the proper fundamentals of the game of baseball.
A full day of baseball will be broken up with a lunch in the UMBC Dining Hall followed by a Rec Swim and/or Rec Activity in the Retriever Activity Center.
To maximize the campers experience there is a limit of 60-70 campers per session. The camp has sold out the last 2 years. If you are seriously interested in attending the camp, early registration is encouraged.
The same teaching/coaching philosophy used in the UMBC NCAA Division 1 Baseball Program will be employed. We will emphasize the basic fundamentals that must me mastered in order for a player to succeed in his age group, as well as to succeed as he gets older and competition level increases. Instructors will be UMBC Coaching Staff and current/former UMBC players.
Typical Daily Schedule
07:30am: Early Drop-off ($25/week fee applies)
08:45am: Report to UMBC Baseball Stadium
09:00am: Instructional Stations
11:45am: Lunch in UMBC Dining Hall
12:45pm: Recreational Swim/Activity in Retriever Activity Center
01:30pm: Specialty Session/Instructional Stations
03:00pm: End of Camp
03:00pm: Extended Stay ($25/Week fee applies)
Extended Stay: Early camper drop-off and/or late pick-up is available.
Early Drop-off Hours: 7:45am - 8:30am.....Cost: $25 Week
Late Pick-up Hours: 3:00pm - 5:30pm......Cost: $25 Week

Each camper must provide his own baseball equipment. Campers should bring a glove, bat, helmet, and water bottle. Baseball attire should be worn.
Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
On Day 1 please check-in at 8:30am.

A medical, assumption of risk, and swimming permission form must be completed prior to the start of the camp. You can bring the signed forms the first day of camp or you can fax it to Coach Mumma at 410-455-1536.

Camp will be held at the UMBC Baseball Stadium Complex. Entrance is on Hilltop Circle at the "Stadium Complex Sign".
From the north, take Interstate 95 to Route 166 (Exit 47B, Catonsville) or take Interstate 83 to the Baltimore Beltway (I-695, west) and then take Exit 12C (Wilkens Avenue, west); follow the signs to UMBC.
From the south, take Interstate 95 to Route 166 (Exit 47B, Catonsville); follow signs to UMBC.
Parking pass will be sent to you.
Lunch will be provided for this session at the UMBC Dining Hall.

What if I have to cancel a Clinic?
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
