Summer Slam Pitching / Catching Camp
Location: UMBC Baseball Stadium Complex
Monday, June 30, 2014 to Tuesday, July 1, 2014
Starts: 9:00am / Ends: 12:00pm
Camp Cost: $100.00
The Pitcher/Catcher Camp is designed to provide the camper with the skills necessary to succeed on the mound and behind the plate.
Pitching and catching are demanding and complex positions with a broad set of skills to be mastered. The Pitcher/Catcher camp gives young pitchers and catchers a chance to focus on those skills for two days in a way that is not possible in a more general camp. If you are a pitcher or catcher that wants to learn the finer points of those positions, this camp is for you.
To maximize the camper's experience there is a limit on the total number of campers per session. If you are seriously interested in attending the camp, early registration is encouraged.
The same teaching/coaching philosophy used in the UMBC NCAA Division 1 Baseball Program will be employed. We will emphasize the basic fundamentals that must be mastered in order for a player to succeed in his age group, as well as to succeed as he gets older and competition level increases. Instructors will be UMBC Coaching Staff and current/former UMBC players.

What if I have to cancel a Clinic?
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
