Description

University of Illinois Chicago Baseball is offering a winter holiday camp unlike no other in the Chicagoland area. This camp is an exceptional opportunity for kids ages 6-14 to not only develop their skills in our state of the art indoor baseball facilities but to also learn from the Division 1 coaching staff at UIC, Current Players, and also former players who are now currently in professional baseball. The UIC Baseball Coaching Staff has designed this camp with a ratio of 5 athletes to 1 coach in part to develop the skill set of each player attending, create a fun and learning atmosphere for the participants, and use the first class facilities on the campus of University of Illinois Chicago.

This camp includes, but is not limited to the following activities - instruction in the following areas: (hitting/pitching/ infield/outfield/catching/base running/bunting/throwing). In addition to skill development using drill stations, the campers will participate in games, which will emphasize the skills taught earlier in camp. These games are often the highlight of camp as they are fun while reinforcing the previous skills taught. The fun activities will be used to increase each individuals passion for the game of baseball and daily activity. The skills and love for the game developed during these years will serve as the building block for future development in high school and beyond.
