TWU Baseball Camps

Welcome to TWU Baseball Camps at Tennessee Wesleyan University. We are committed to providing a camp that is both instructional and informational along with creating a great atmosphere to learn! The coaching staff at TWU is dedicated to the development and growth of baseball players of all ages and skill levels. We are committed to providing a positive and instrumental learning experience for all camps.

2018 Bulldog Baseball Summer Youth Skills Camp

Description

Camp is for players ages 5-13. Campers will enjoy practice sessions centered around different skill sets and scrimmage games throughout the day. The 2018 Bulldog Summer Youth Camps are a great opportunity to learn from one of the best NAIA College programs in the nation.

 

Cost: $70.00 non-refundable fee is charged for the camp. There will be a % registration fee at the time of sign up that attaches to the overall price.

 

Camp Staff: The staff will be comprised of TWU assistant coaches and players, who will evaluate both fundamentals and advanced techniques of the players.

 

Equipment: Bat, batting gloves, glove, baseball pants, hat, cleats, non-cleated tennis shoes or baseball turf shoes, catchers should bring their own gear.

Please check in 30 minutes prior to the start of the session.

 

Waiver Information

You will be responsible to complete and bring a copy of our waiver form to check-in on your first day of camp. Download Waiver Form

 

Accommodations

This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

 

Miscellaneous Information

Refund Policy

Although we do not offer refunds on canceled campers, there are two options available to you in case of cancellation. (1) We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of your camp fees (less an 8% processing fee) should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of a camp. (2) If you cancel after 14 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid toward a future camp for three years from the original camp date.

 

Please check your email regularly as this is our primary way we communicate. Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

Description

This is a one day showcase that will feature a pro style workout and live controlled situations in which high school and current JUCO players can display their talents for the coaches in attendance.  We traditionally sell-out our showcase at the end of August so we wanted to give athletes the chance to be seen with an extra day. College coaches from DI, DII, DIII NAIA and JUCO along with professional scouts will be in attendance evaluating each player. As a player you will have the opportunity to meet the coaching staff one-on-one and be evaluated by the showcase staff. This showcase is designed for the player who is serious about taking their game to the next level.

Players Will Receive
- Opportunity to meet and interact with the TWU Staff and current players
- Opportunity to meet and interact with D1, D2, NAIA, and JUCO coaches along with professional scouts
- Evaluation and information on where each player stands and what they need to develop on
- Information about recruiting and academics
- An evaluation handout upon showcase completion
- Information about recruiting and academics and the MLB Draft
- An evaluation handout upon showcase completion

 

Lunch: There will be a quick 30 minute break in between the pro-style workout and the start of the live controlled game. Showcase participants will be given the opportunity to purchase food from our concession stands that will be available- Sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, candy, and a variety of drinks will be on hand. Last year, we went through everything in our concession stands so there will be more than enough on hand for purchase of food and drink.

 

Facilities: Showcases will be held at Tennessee Wesleyan University Baseball Facilities. The facilities used will include Jack Bowling Field, the batting cages, and the bullpen areas.

 

Equipment: All campers will need to bring all necessary baseball equipment such as: bat, glove, cleats, tennis shoes, catchers gear (if needed), etc.

 

All Tennessee Wesleyan Showcases are open to any and all applicants and are limited only by the number of slots available per camp and the age, grade level and/or the gender of the participant.
