On April 18, 1992, Goodwin Field became the new home of Cal State Fullerton baseball. The occasion was marked with the Titans sweeping a doubleheader against Loyola Marymount, 8-2 and 11-3, setting the tone for the next two decades. Two-thousand twelve marked the 20-year anniversary of the home of the Titans. read more

Titan Baseball Academy

Titan Baseball Academy in California offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of baseball. Campers will be made aware of the characteristics that define successful baseball players. Organized games between campers will provide a competitive outlet after specific drills have been practiced. Contests built into drills capture the learner’s attention, which results in attentive practice.

Drill progressions will be aimed towards recognizing and developing good habits in all aspects of the game. General courtesy, respect for teammates and opponents and the importance of hard work will be taught to the campers through example by the Titan coaches.

Description

The High School Hitting Camp is an advanced class for high school players looking to get themselves to the next level. This camp will give players the chance to get a ton of swings per week while working extensively on the mechanical and mental aspects of hitting. 

 

CSF Assistant Coach Neil Walton will run the camp along with current Titan staff and current Titan players. Camper to coach ratio is less than 5:1. Hitting camp is located in the cages at Goodwin field on Cal State Fullerton campus. Cages are down the RF line.

 

Dates: March 5, 12, 19, 26, April 2

 

Equipment: Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, Helmet, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete.

The parking officers check this lot frequently and if you are parked over 30 minutes in a 30 minute space or in the lot without a paid permit you will be issued a citation.

Description

Our Youth Skills Camps are designed to help young players learn the basics of the game of baseball while developing their individual skills.  Each day will include a mix of defense and hitting skill instruction.  Although the camp is geared towards young players many of the activities will be very similar to what we do with our current team.  That same training is what helped former Titans like Justin Turner(Dodgers), Matt Chapman(As), and Michael Lorenzon(Reds) sharpen their skills.  At the end of camp players will have been able to work with Fullerton coaches and players and should be prepared to take their game to the next level.

This is a camp designed for Jr High players (grades 7th and 8th) and its goal is to prepare jr high players for high school baseball. Focus for this camp will be on position specific skills (Pitching, Infield, Outfield, Catching) as well as hitting, base running, building arm strength, weight lifting/speed and conditioning. Each camper will receive a Cal State Fullerton Dri-Fit T-Shirt.

Basic fundamentals will include aspects of infield, outfield, catching, pitching, and baserunning.  These fundamentals will be covered in a wide range of drills and games throughout the week. The Titan Baseball Academy is for all players ages 6-12 (grades 1-6) interested in taking their skill set to the next level and preparing for the upcoming Fall Season.    

 

Each player will receive a Dri-Fit Shirt with camp.
