TEC Baseball Academy at Eastern Kentucky University is dedicated to providing a baseball camp that is both instructional and informational along with creating a great atmosphere to learn!

The instructional staff prides itself on teaching the game of baseball to players of all ages and ability levels. The mechanics and drills that are taught at our camps are the same that are used with college players. We are determined to provide the best possible learning experience for our campers.

Description

The off-season is an important time for youth baseball players to work on their game and develop their skills.  With that in mind, we are excited to announce that TEC Baseball will host its first ever fall Team Camp League. 

 

The clinics will consist of 4 weeks, plus an All-Star Game Oct 7th. You will receive 1 hour team training sessions and hour before you play. Then live games starting at 5:30pm and 7:45pm. All sessions in the friendly confines of our state of the art facility at Eastern Kentucky University! Teams will participate in weekly training at practice to ensure they are maintaining their skills and using healthy mechanics. Your team will work with EKU Coaches, players and former professional players. Great way to learn and have fun while building team chemistry during the off-season.

Equipment: Each player must bring their own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Please mark the player's name on all items. The league is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen belongings.

 

Important Notes: The league is open to all registrants in the appropriate grade level and is only limited by number of registrants and age.

Directions

Take Exit 87 from I-75.  From Southbound I-75, turn left onto the Bypass.  From Northbound I-75, turn right onto the Bypass.  Continue on the Bypass through the Lancaster Ave intersection, then turn left into the Alumni Coliseum Parking Lot.  The Stadium will be on the right.  Park near the stadium at your own risk, foul balls may enter the parking lot.

Accommodations: This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

 

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off Information: All campers are responsible for their own transportation to/from camp each day for this commuter camp.

 

Cancellation Policy: We do not offer refunds for cancelled camp attendance. However, we do understand that plans may change and there are times when participants may need to cancel. For this reason, we offer Cancellation Protection, which is a clinic credit that may be applied towards a future clinic if you decide to cancel. We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in the case of a change in plans. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible.

 

Payment for Cancellation Protection is due at the time of registration. Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within the 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a clinic credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from the clinic date at any of our camps/clinics/showcases. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.

Take advantage of the amazing opportunity to showcase your skills in front of the current Eastern Kentucky coaching staff, while receiving elite instruction.

 

You will be able to see the style of play the coaches at EKU expect. This is a great opportunity to gain exposure while working on your craft to improve your game. This camp is for the ball player that wants to play at the next level, as this is a true instructional camp. Professional scouts, and other college coaches will be invited to attend the camp.

 

The camp offers a great opportunity to learn from our skilled and dedicated staff. It is also the same instruction that players at the highest level of baseball use on a daily basis.

 

During the camp you will learn the following skills:

  • Elite level hitting instruction
  • Hitting/ pitching drills and techniques
  • Elite level defensive instruction
  • Live games, batting practice, individual defense and offensive stations and much, much more

The TEC Baseball Academy Georgia Elite High School Clinic is a true, hands-on instructional camp and features various coaches and staff members from local area colleges/universities as well as staff from Major League Baseball organizations as the instructors.

This camp is for the serious ball player that wants to play at the next level. This instructional based showcase camp will help you enhance your skill set.

You will have the opportunity to receive elite instruction from, work with, and showcase your skills in front of college/university coaches, professional Major League Baseball staff, and top high school coaches from the area.

The camp offers a great opportunity to learn skills that players at the highest level of baseball use on a daily basis from skilled and dedicated staff who know the game. Work with college coaches from different levels, DI, DII, DIII, NAIA and Junior College.

 

Have the opportunity to have the following:  
Pro- Style Workout
batting practice
Live games
Individual defensive skill sessions 
Individual offensive skill sessions
Arm speed and bat speed will be measured

 

Equipment: Each camp attendee must bring his own baseball equipment. Please mark the camp attendee name on all items. The camp is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen belongings.

Recommended baseball equipment to bring includes: 

  • Glove
  • Bat
  • Batting gloves
  • Helmet 
  • Running shoes, molded or plastic cleats are fine or turf shoes-- NO METAL CLEATS!!!

The camp is designed to provide players instruction that will cover the proper techniques in pitching, catching, infield, outfield, and base running.

 

You will be able to learn fundamentals while also having fun during the clinic. Coaches will provide encouragement while concentrating on group instruction and position training. All campers will be placed in their age and skill level. Focus is on teaching competitive strategies to make each camper a better all-around player.
