If my son attends a local tryout when do we find out if he made the next round or finals in the region

The day of the tryout, players will be told the date in which the advanced players will be notified.  Advanced players will be notified by email.  Players that do not advance, will not receive an email.


What is USA Baseball

Since 1978, USA Baseball has been the national governing body for the sport of baseball. It represents the sport in the United States as a member of the U.S. Olympic Committee (USOC) and internationally as a member federation of the International Baseball Federation (IBAF).

Nearly every major national amateur baseball organization in America is united as a USA Baseball National Member Organization. As a result, USA Baseball governs more than 12 million amateur players in ballparks and playgrounds across the country. As the commissioner’s office for amateur baseball, USA Baseball is a resource center for its various membership groups, fans, and players. USA Baseball is also responsible for promoting and developing the game of baseball on the grassroots level, both nationally and internationally.


What is the current international age determination date

The current international age determination date rule states your birthday must fall on January 1 or later of a specified year to be eligible for particular age groups. The age a player reaches during the calendar year of the international competition will serve as his competition age.

NTIS Age Divisions 
• 2018 14U NTIS:  must be born on or after Jan. 1, 2004, eligible for the 2019 15U National Team
• 2018 13U NTIS:  must be born on or after Jan. 1, 2005, eligible for the 2019 14U National Team Development Program
• 2018 11U NTIS:  must be born on or after Jan. 1, 2007, eligible for the 2019 12U National Team

Official Cancellation Policy for all USA Baseball NTIS events

Cancellations up to 14 days prior to the start of the event will receive a 100% refund of the registration fee.  Cancellations within 14 days of the start of the event will receive a 50% refund.  No exceptions will be made. The participating player or team will receive their refund back to the credit card on file within 30 days of the time of cancellation.


What are the dates for the Southeast Region Regional Event?

14U, 13U and 11U: Dates – July TBA (Atlanta Metro Area)

NTIS at USA Complex in Cary, NC will be:

August 9-12th:  13U at USA Baseball National Training Complex, Cary, N.C

August 23-26th:  11U, 14U, 17U at USA Baseball National Training Complex & Thomas Brooks Park, Cary N.C.


If my son makes Team Southeast, does he play with them the whole year or does he only play with them for the USA Baseball NTIS event in September

Players who make Team Southeast only play with Team Southeast for the three day period of the NTIS. The program is designed to make minimal impact on the players other commitments.


Are there any additional fees if my son is selected to travel to Cary, NC with Team Southeast

There is a 300.00 fee for each player that is named to Team Southeast which covers their uniform fee. All players will then need to book rooms and cover their travel to Cary, NC. through the Southeast team room blocks.


What will players wear when they travel to Cary, NC if selected to Team Southeast

Player will receive (2) numbered jerseys,  and (1) game hat. Each player will need to wear either a solid pair of white game pants.


Does my son need to attend a Regional Tryouts or Showcases to advance to the Southeast Regional Championships to be named to Team Southeast

This answer is YES…… All players must attend a tryout in their area or state. From that Championship, players will be chosen to represent Team Southeast in Cary NC.


What states will be represented at the Southeast Regional?

Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee
