All high school and junior college players are invited to the January Showcase Camp at Sam Houston State. This camp is an opportunity for high school and juco players to participate in an evaluation setting in front of the SHSU coaching staff. Each position player will be evaluated in a 60 yard sprint, a defensive skill session, and batting practice on the field. Each pitcher will throw a bullpen to a catcher and be evaluated for velocity, command, and quality of pitches. Every player will receive a written evaluation from the camp staff. All camp activities will be conducted at the top-flight baseball facilities of Sam Houston State, including beautiful Don Sanders Stadium and our indoor hitting facility. Our new artificial playing surface will allow us to run events in almost any weather conditions. Our showcases are the best way for the elite players to show their skills to our coaching staff.
Players may register for one position (C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF) and as a pitcher (select RHP or LHP when you register). Position players will workout at their primary position during the defensive evaluations. Players will have an opportunity to workout at a secondary position fielding live baseballs during batting practice. Players who would like to register as Pitcher-Only, need to only select RHP or LHP when you register. Pitcher-Only players will have a later check-in option. You will be notified of the check-in time via email the week of the camp.

Equipment: Each player must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear.
Check-in begins at 9:30am, Camp begins at 10:00am (the camp will go anywhere from 2.5 to 4 hours depending on the number of players registered).
Please fill out Waiver and Release of Liability form and deliver to camp registration check in. Waiver will be attached to your email receipt.
Meals will not be provided.

What if I have to cancel a camp? We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date.

Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
