SUNY Sullivan Baseball SUNY Sullivan competes in the NJCAA Division II in Region XV. The team won the NJCAA Region XV championship in 2008 and 2011 along with the Mid-Hudson Conference Championship in 2011 and 2012.
Ryan Snair comes to SUNY Sullivan with 12 years of collegiate baseball experience as both a coach and former player.
Prior to his arrival at SUNY Sullivan, Coach Snair spent seven seasons as the head baseball coach at Ulster County Community College (SUNY Ulster) where he compiled a 155-115 record in 2007, surpassing former coach Dennis Sheehan as the coach with the most wins in school history. The highlight of his tenure was a 31-12 record in 2004 and a trip to the College World Series. Coach Snair’s team made a solid run at the College World Series, finishing 2-2 and ranking fourth in the country. In addition, he was honored as the District F Coach of the Year in 2004. Prior to becoming head coach, he spent one season as an assistant coach at SUNY Ulster as well as served as the pitching coach and assisted with recruiting efforts.
Assistant Coach Jared Carrier joins the Sullivan coaching staff in August of 2009 with a wealth of experience as a player & coach at the local level. Coach Carrier’s knowledge from past coaching experiences and the private instruction business will be an asset to the program. Coach Carrier will work with all players, assist with recruiting and be involved with the placement of our players into four-year programs.
Coach Carrier earned his Bachelors Degree in Physical Education with a concentration in Sports Management while completing minors in Coaching and Business Administration from SUNY Brockport in 2002.
