Clark Field is the home field for the St. Andrews baseball team. Clark Field is located on campus within walking distance of the PE Building.
St. Andrews Director of Athletics Glenn Batten has announced the promotion of assistant baseball coach Andy Fox to be the new Head Baseball Coach for the Knights. Fox succeeds Drew Roberts who has accepted a position at the University of Central Florida.
Entering his fifth year at St. Andrews, Coach Fox is a proven recruiter and outstanding coach.
According to Batten, “I have full confidence that Coach Fox will continue to build on the St. Andrews Baseball tradition. He has a great mind for baseball and is well regarded by coaches within the Appalachian Athletic Conference and throughout the region.
Assistant Coach/Recruiting Coordinator
Cliff Allred will be beginning his first season as the new Hitting Coach for the baseball team after being hired in the Fall of 2016.
Allred is an SAU alum having graduated in 2007 and was a four-year starter, a two-time captain and catcher for the Knights from 2003-2007. He was also the 2005 Player of the Week and is top 5 all-time in home runs (35), games, and runs batted in (162).
Jonathan Rosenberger is entering his first season as the Pitching Coach for the Knights baseball program. Rosenberger comes to SAU as a 2015 graduate of Div. II Newberry College (SC) where he was a right-handed pitcher for four seasons and got his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
2013 – Named 1st team All-SAC after making 12 appearances, including 11 starts, and compiling an 8-2 record with a team leading 2.51 ERA… Recorded 54 strikeouts while only giving up 22 walks in 75.1 innings pitched… Was a member of the NCBWA and ABCA All-Southeast Region teams…
He was a 2012 graduate of Wren High School in Anderson, SC. Earned four varsity letters at Wren HS for coach Randy Thompson… two-time All-Region selection… 2010 Golden Arm Coaches’ Award winner… 2010 All-State selection… Diamond Prospects All-Academic Team member… participated in the Big League World Series two times
Graduate Assistant Coach
Evan Tucker is beginning his first season as the Grad Assistant on the SAU Baseball staff.
Tucker graduated from St. Andrews in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and has begun taking classes for his M.B.A. at SAU.Tucker is a former pitcher for the Knights and spent his senior season as the team’s closer.
Tucker is a native of Wake Forest, NC and currently resides in Laurinburg.
Volunteer Assistant Coach
Rancel Rosado is entering his first season as the Grad Assistant for Sports Information and Game Management Operations at St. Andrews as well as the Volunteer Assistant for the Baseball team.
Rosado is a 2016 graduate of SAU and is currently taking classes for his M.B.A. Rosado was also a standout baseball player for the Knights over the last two seasons while most recently winning Player of the Year for the AAC in 2016.
Rosado, a shortstop and third basemen, led St. Andrews in numerous offensive categories. He led with a .390 average, 77 hits, 20 doubles, 4 home runs, and 113 total bases. He also had 46 RBIs, 40 runs scored, a .571 slugging percentage and a .426 on-base percentage.
