Frank Leoni: Marymount Head Baseball Coach - Camp Director
Coach Leoni was named as the first ever head baseball coach at Marymount in the fall of 2012. Before arriving in Arlington, he was the head coach at William & Mary for seven years from 2005-2012. For 13 years, he was the head man at his alma mater, the University of Rhode Island, from 1992-2005. At W&M, Leoni led the Tribe to 100 victories faster than anyone in history and developed 11 professional players. During his stint at URI, Coach Leoni was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year twice, and won an A-10 Championship in 2005. Eight former Rams played professionally in the Leoni era. Coach Leoni has over 450 victories in 20 years as a DI head coach. In 2010, he was inducted into the Rhode Island Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
Marymount Pitching Coach
George Fisher is the first pitching coach in the history of the Marymount baseball program. For two years (2010-11), he was an assistant on Leoni's staff at William & Mary. During Fisher's tenure, the Tribe pitching staff was ranked second and third in the CAA, respectively, in 2010 and 2011. Logan Billbrough was named CAA Conference Pitcher of the Year (2011) under Fisher's guidance. He came from Averett University (an NCAA Division III member) where he was a star pitcher and later the pitching coach for seven years. In, 2001 he was a first-team all-conference selection and first-team all-south region. After his collegiate career, Fisher pitched professionally in the Frontier League. In 2002, he was named to the Frontier League All-Star team. Coach Fisher also spent the summer of 2005 as an assistant in the Frontier League.
Future assistant coaches and area HS coaches will be added to the camp staff in late spring.
