In depth pitching instruction based on MLB and Rhody baseball fundamentals. Information taught from a combined pitching knowledge of Rhody Rams Pitching Coach Kevin Vance and assistant David Fischer. Over 14 years of pro pitching experience combined across 4 organizations (White Sox, Twins, Nationals and Diamondbacks) as well as experiences with USA baseball and 2 years overseas playing (Germany and Australia). Program created and developed with help from the top professionals in the athletic training and strength and conditioning fields.
Each player will receive at the end of camp an individually developed throwing program (with bullpen schedule included), A small weights and arm care program, individualized mobility program to increase range of motion for each player based on needs.
Skills to be focused on
- Arm care (Both Prehab and Strength development) same programs used @ the MLB level.
- Mobility work to help increase range of motion and to help increase velocity
- Pitching Mindsets and cognitive exercises to improve mental strength and focus while in game.
- Pitching Mechanics in order to help the pitcher understand his body and who he is as a pitcher.
- How to play proper catch (Its Batting Practice for Pitchers)
- Mechanical and Movement quality breakdown in regards to pitching.
- All with a focus on preparation and training for upcoming spring season
- Pitcher evaluation, beginning to end, available at conclusion of camp
- Pre season throwing and small weight program given out at conclusion of camp
What to expect:

6:00pm ... Mobility work and learning to how prepare your body for a lengthy season
6:15pm ... Arm care and learning what it takes in order to keep your arm healthy and strong over the course of a season.
6:30pm ... Individual focus on pitching dry work drills and a breakdown of pitching mechanics. Learning how your body works in space and how that can help create simple fluid mechanics.
6:45pm ... Cognitive training - We will talk about the mental side of baseball and what it takes to succeed at the highest levels. Training drills and thought processes designed to get the best out of you as an athlete. Baseball is 90% mental after all right?

6:15pm ... Cognitive training and the Mental side of baseball
6:30pm ... Catch play with a focus on preparing for the upcoming season. We will learn how to play proper catch, with a focus on increasing command, velocity, and maintaining it, over the course of a long season.
6:45pm ... Dry work and starting bullpens

What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date . Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.

Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
