BILL BROWN BASEBALL CAMPS are designed to teach students solid fundamental baseball skills as well as to raise their level of understanding of the game of baseball. Our purpose is to provide each camper with the instruction and encouragement needed to develop individual skills to a greater level. In addition, we want the camper to be aware that individual skills are best utilized when they are incorporated into a team concept. We will emphasize how individuals work together on a field to form a baseball "team."
The BILL BROWN BASEBALL CAMP is proud to call Raymond H. "Hap" Spuhler Field our home. "The Hap" boasts one of the finest playing surfaces in Virginia and was rated as the top playing surface in the country for 2003 in Sports Turf Magazine. The camp will make use of the meticulously cared for game field, adjacent auxiliary fields, the GMU softball field for Little League Camp, batting cages, slow toss and tee areas, bullpen mounds and other facilities for specialty instruction.
The BILL BROWN BASEBALL CAMP is committed to hands-on approach with high participation for the camper. In order to provide the optimum learning and teaching atmosphere, our camper/staff ratio will not exceed 8-to-1.
Campers will be grouped by age and skill in order to provide for the best possible instruction, and to gear that instruction to the unique needs of different age groups. Our goal is to isolate a particular age group, with particular attention to skill level, in order to insure optimum individual instruction.
After receipt of application, refunds will be given if a player is unable to attend due to accident or injury. If the refund is requested within 7 days of the camp the player will be refunded in full with credit toward a future camp. Scheduling conflicts are not cause for refund but we will issue a camp credit.
