O'Grady Nets Multiple Awards
Junior Chris O'Grady turned in a standout performance in 2012 occupying the role of the team's closer. O'Grady tied a school single-season record with 14 saves. He went 2-0 with a 1.22 ERA, striking out 51 and limiting opposing hitters to a .163 batting average over 37 innings of work.
The Congers, NY native was selected in the 10th round of the 2012 Major League Draft by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, becoming the 2nd highest drafted player in program history. He currently plays for the Orem Owlz, the Short Season Affiliate of the Angels.
