Camp Description

 

At the Pacific Baseball Academy, we pride ourselves in playing the game the right way, the "Tiger" way. Philosophy, pride, and tradition have built the fundamentals of Tiger Baseball and continues to produce top players at the Division I level in the Big West Conference.

The High School Prospect Camp offers fundamentals in both the offensive and defensive approaches to the game. This includes; hitting, bunting, infield play, outfield play, pitching, catching, and base-running techniques. In addition, scrimmages are provided to help each individual improve on new skills and take their game to the next level. Pacific coaches and players will be conducting all instruction provided during the camp.

General Information

 

What to bring
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Helmets will be provided.

Facility
Players attending this camp will benefit from playing on Klein Family Field. This beautifully manicured facility is the first on-campus home for the Pacific Baseball team since 1951 and officially opened its gates on April 18, 2006. The state of the art facility holds a capacity of 2,500 spectators. The field dimensions are 317 feet down the left field line, 380 feet at the left field power alley, 395 feet to straightaway center field, 367 feet at the right field power alley and 325 feet down the right field line.

A certified athletic trainer will be on site at all times during the camp. Enrollment will be limited to ensure a player to coach ratio of 8-to-1. In addition to individual instruction, each camper receive a t-shirt for their participation.

Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.

Directions

 

Interstate 5 Southbound:
Exit Alpine Avenue. Turn left and proceed east to the campus entrance on Larry Heller Drive.

Interstate 5 Northbound:
Exit Pershing Avenue or Country Club Blvd./Alpine Avenue. Proceed to Alpine and Pershing intersection. Enter campus on Larry Heller Drive.

Southbound and Northbound Highway 99:
Take Crosstown Freeway (Hwy. 4) west to I-5. Exit I-5 north. Exit Pershing Avenue. Proceed straight 20 blocks to Pacific campus. Turn right to enter on Larry Heller Drive.

From San Francisco International Airport:
Take US-101 south to CA-92 west toward Hayward. Merge onto I-880 north. Take the I-238 exit toward Castro Valley/Stockton. Merge onto I-580 east. Take left fork to I-205 east toward Tracy/Stockton. Take ramp to I-5 north. Exit Pershing Avenue or Country Club Blvd./Alpine Avenue. Proceed to Alpine and Pershing intersection. Enter campus on Larry Heller Drive.

From Sacramento Airport:
Take ramp to I-5 south. Exit Alpine Avenue. Turn left and proceed east to the campus entrance on Larry Heller Drive.

Meals

 

Lunch will NOT be included in your registration fee. Please bring a lunch from home.

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off Information

 

Airport pick up is "not" available for this session.
The closest airport to fly into is the Sacramento International Airport.

Miscellaneous Information

 

What if I have to cancel a Clinic?
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp
