The Northridge Baseball Academy Prospect Camp is a great way for high school aged as well as JC athletes to gain exposure to a brand new Matador Coaching Staff. The new coaching staff features 11 combined trips to Omaha, two National Championships, and 4 different staff members playing in professional baseball. Head Coach Dave Serrano was named the National Coach of the Year in 2007, and the Assistant Coach of the Year in 2005. Per the new NCAA rules with quiet and dead periods, this camp will be a major recruiting tool for the new staff to see what players would be a great fit in a Matador uniform in the future. This unique weekend will show the attendees what a day in the life would entail while being a baseball player at CSUN. The morning of Day 1 will feature high level instruction and drill work by our coaching staff and players.
The afternoon on Day 1 will consist of defensive and offensive evaluations. Each player will be given the opportunity to take reps at their positions. Pitchers will be instructed on throwing programs and arm care instruction, followed by a light bullpen in front of our pitching coach and Head Coach. On field batting practice will be offered as well with our offensive coaches evaluating and instructing all hitters.
CSUN Recruiting Coordinator, Eddie Cornejo, who was named the best recruiter in the Big West conference while at UCSB in 2016 will be giving a talk to all parents regarding the recruiting process for Division 1 college baseball. He will answer all questions or concerns that a parent or guardian might have regarding the recruiting process.
Day 2 will consist of games and competing at the highest level. Coaches and players will be behind screens behind home plate evaluating all players on the field during the games.
Times: 9:00am-2:00pm (may run longer depending on the length of the scrimmage)
Check In: Check in will be at 8:30am

Directions: Matador Field is located on Lindley Avenue between Halsted and Lassen Streets.
Parking Information: For parking on campus you will need a parking pass to park in Lot E6. Daily parking passes are available at the kiosk for $8.00.
Meals: Lunch will not be provided. Water will be available throughout the day.
Accommodations: This is day camp only. No overnight option available.
Airport Pick-up / Drop-off Information: Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for their own transportation.
What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called Cancellation Protection. We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of a camp. If you cancel within 14 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
