Our organization is the only one in San Diego whose “college development” slogan directly translates to our coaching staff and player development platform. We are a unique HS/College development baseball program as we are connected to a NCAA Division 1 Top-25 nationally ranked program. We are a true college development program as our staff includes D1, Junior College, High School and Pro Player Coaches! Our numbers speak for themselves as we have had 150+ of our players move on to the high school and college level.

Kris Bryant – 2013, 2nd Overall Pick Chicago Cubs, National League MVP:

“If you are looking for a baseball program for your child – STOP! Coach Marcelino and The North County Mavericks is everything you want in a youth baseball program. Coach Marce has played the game at many different levels and I learned so much from him from my time at USD. The Mavs program is about true development and the staff is bought in on what will allow your son to be successful on and off the field at the high school and college level.”

Ryan Casper, Mavs program as 6th grader, LCC Varsity player, College commitment: Point Loma
“From the time I started Mavs in 6th Grade to the time I left for high school it was never about winning. It was all about becoming the best player and best person I could be. The coaches helped me prepare for the grind of a competitive LCC baseball program and gave me the confidence to perform at my best level in front of college coaches. This ultimately led to my commitment to Point Loma Nazarene University.”

Bob Teisher (father of Griffin Teisher, LCC ‘16, Cal State San Marcos CF ‘20):

“The NC Mavs was more than just reps. The coaches not only prepared my son, Griffin, physically for the next level but mentally. The coaches did not prioritize winning over growth. The focus was always about improving yourself in the game and quality at bats while also emphasizing long term goals and what it takes to make it at the NCAA level. It’s no coincidence that several of my sons N.C. Mavs teammates still have a deep love of the game and are thriving at the collegiate level.” -Bob Teisher (father of Griffin Teisher, LCC ‘16, Cal State San Marcos CF ‘20)
