Middle Georgia State University Baseball Camps

Middle Georgia State University Baseball Camps in Cochran, Georgia offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of baseball. Campers will be made aware of the characteristics that define successful baseball players.

 

All camps and clinics are high energy with great attention to detail and safety. This is a baseball opportunity that we feel confident will exceed your expectations. We look forward to seeing you at Middle Georgia State University Baseball!

OPEN EVENT IN NEW WINDOW

This years showcases will be held on June 1, 2019. Our showcase camp is designed for a player to be viewed by colleges and be identified as prospects prior to the start of the summer season. This showcase is also an opportunity for all unsigned high school seniors to be seen and recruited by Middle Georgia State and other colleges.

 

The Showcase camp is for advanced players ages 15-18. Players will have the opportunity to showcase their skills during live games, pro-style defensive workouts, batting practice, timed 60s, and instructional segments. Equipment
Camper must bring their own baseball equipment. Players should bring glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear

Staff
Campers will receive instruction from Middle Georgia State Coaches and other local college coaches. All camps will be directed by Middle Georgia State University Head Baseball Coach Paul Knight. Coach Knight is completing his fourth year as the Head Coach at Middle Georgia and has more than 20 years of college coaching experience.

 

Facilities
Camp will be conducted at the baseball field on our campus in Cochran, GA. In addition, other athletic facilities and buildings on campus may be used.

Miscellaneous Information

Refund Policy: We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date.

Introduction

The Knights baseball camp is a great opportunity to receive instruction in the fundamentals of baseball. We will emphasize the proper technique of hitting, throwing, fielding, base running, and defensive play. Our camp will include instruction in small groups and individual attention. We will provide a positive atmosphere that promotes learning and enjoyment of the game of baseball. Players will be grouped together according to age and ability.

 

Ages 5 12 are welcome.

Ages 5 to 7 will attend a half day camp each day from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Campers age 8 to 12 will attend a full day camp from 9:00am to 3:00pm.

 

Cost 

Half day (ages 5-7) $80.00

Full Day (ages 8-13) $160.00

 

Equipment
Campers must bring their own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, batting gloves, helmet, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Please mark camper's names on all items. The camp is not responsible for lost belongings.

 

Staff
Campers will receive instruction from Middle Georgia Coaches and college players. All camps will be directed by Middle Georgia State College Head Baseball Coach Paul Knight. Coach Knight is completing his fourth year as the Head Coach at Middle Georgia and has more than 20 years of college coaching and camp experience.

 

Swimming Pool

Campers may go to the on campus swimming pool each day. There is a certified life guard present at all times. Please pack a bathing suit and towel.

Supervision
Participants will be supervised from registration until dismissal.

Meals / Snacks

Full day campers will need to bring their own lunch. We will come inside to eat lunch each day. Half day campers will be dismissed at noon and will not need lunch. Water & ice will be provided for all campers. Drinks & snacks will be available for purchase during breaks throughout the day.
