Camp Description

This camp will be presented by Marist College Head Coach Chris Tracz and Assistant Coaches Tyler Kavanaugh, and Jesse Marsh along with other current players from the Red Fox program.

This clinic is designed to teach fundamentals of the game. Through individual instruction, group instruction and drill work each participant will learn the key elements of being a college baseball player.

General Information

The pitching clinic will center on pitching mechanics to help each pitcher prepare for their high school season. Instructors work specific drills to improve the mechanics of the pitcher including
• Compact/repeatable delivery
• Balance
• Staying connected
• Positive body direction
• Maintaining the kinetic chain

Each pitcher will throw a 30 pitch bullpen that will be filmed and broken down by Head Coach Chris Tracz.

The clinic will also instruct pitchers on:
• Pitcher-specific strength and conditioning.
• Throwing program to build and maintain velocity.
• Proper arm care techniques.

This catching clinic will afford catchers a great opportunity to work with Marist Assistant Coach Tyler Kavanaugh. Working with players in a small group, we will focus on individual development. The clinic will instruct players on proper technique
• Receiving
• Blocking
• Throwing
• Staying safe on plays at the plate
• Pitcher/Catcher relations
• Catcher-specific strength and conditioning

Catchers will also get a 45 minutes hitting clinic and BP session with Red Fox Coaches.
To enable individual improvement of the player, enrollment is limited to small numbers to aide in the individual instruction. Enroll early to ensure a spot.
