Location: Matador Field-Northridge, CA
Saturday, September 28, 2013 to Sunday, September 29, 2013
Camp Cost: $250.00
Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to learn from some of the best instructors at every level. Not only will you learn what it takes to become a pitcher or catcher at the next level. You will get all the information you need to help you find the right opportunity after your high school career is over. The camp will offer tips on pitching and catching mechanics, throwing programs, video analysis, and a chance to speak with numerous college coaches. One of which, Matadors Head Baseball Coach Gregg Moore, is one of the most respected pitching coaches in the country.
Since 2007, Coach Moore's pitching staffs have produced three first-round picks. Only Stanford and Vanderbilt had more during that time. More impressive is where these players started. Aaron Poreda was the first, first-round pick under Coach Moore, 25th overall to the Chicago White Sox in 2007. Poreda was mostly un-recruited coming out of high school and only three short years later was one of the top prospects in amateur baseball. Evan Frederickson came from another top line university where he was not being used and after one year became the 35th overall pick to the Milwaukee Brewers in 2008. Finally, in 2012, Coach Moore was able to take Kyle Zimmer, a converted third baseman, and help him become the 5th overall pick of the MLB draft to the Kansas City Royals.
Catchers will get the opportunity to work with two different coaches who have experience coaching catchers at the highest level college has to offer.
