Clinic Description

 

The Farmingdale State College Pitchers and Catchers Clinic is open for all players who will be graduating from high school in 2014-2017.

This one day Clinic is designed to give advanced Pitchers and Catchers the opportunity to develop their talents in an instructional setting.

This Clinic will include batting practice and instructional sessions on pitching, catching, fielding, hitting, and base running. Each camper will also participate in a live Bullpen Sessions during the day.

09:30-10:00: Registration
10:00-10:30: Warm-up/Stretch
10:30-11:00: Catchers Winter work/ Pitchers Winter work Lecture
11:00 -11:30: Pitchers: Hip Drive/ Torque/ Arm Swing Lecture - w/ live catchers
11:30-12:00: Catchers: Blocking & Receiving Drills/Pop Time Drills/Live Throws - w/Pitchers
12:00-12:30: Lunch Break (Bring from Home)
12:30-01:00: Pitchers: Drills/ Flat Ground/ Bullpens- Catchers: Handling Pitchers / Leadership Skills session 1
01:00-01:30: Pitchers: Drills/ Flat Ground/ Bullpens- Catchers: Handling Pitchers / Leadership Skills session 1
01:30-02:00: Conclusions/ Wrap up with Coach Osik, Mongiello and Salmon

Equipment:
Campers should bring a glove, bat, helmet and should wear comfortable workout attire and cleats. In case of Heavy rain, Camp will be rescheduled. Catchers should bring their own catcher's equipment..

Facility:
Farmingdale State College Stadium provides an excellent opportunity for complete baseball skill instruction and performance. The main diamond, plus the outdoor practice Feld and batting cages enable campers to receive instruction in all aspects of the game.

Clinic Check-in

 

Check-in for all camps will be conducted in the Gated entrance to the Stadium. Check-in will take place starting 15 minutes prior to the starting time of each camp session.

All participants should park in stadium Lot, which is directly in front of Field.

Meals

 

Meals will not be provided at this session. It is RECOMMENED that you bring a lunch from home.

This is not an "overnight" clinic. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

Miscellaneous Information

 

We ask that all of our campers have a desire to learn, be attentive, and conduct themselves in a professional manner.

What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
