Florida Gulf Coast University Camps Frequently Asked Questions:
What do I bring to Camp?
Campers will need to bring cleats, tennis shoes, glove, baseball hat,baseball pants, bat and batting gloves recommended but not required
Where and when is check in?
Check in will always be 40 minutes before the camp starts and it will beheld in front of the FGCU’s Swanson baseball stadium.
Where will I stay when attending camp?
Overnight campers will all stay at the Four Points by Sheraton Ft Myers Airport. For more info please contact Jessica Cooper 239-322-1399
What is the best airport to fly into?
The nearest major airport is Fort Myers which is 5 miles from FGCU.
Will there be a training staff available in case of emergency?
There will be a certified athletic trainer available on site at every camp.
Can parents watch the camp?
Parents are highly encouraged to watch the session. By learning the material, they can assist their child in reinforcing what was taught. Thus, parents are more than welcome to watch. Coaches will be happy to answer any questions after the drill session is over or after camp completion. Of course, your player is encouraged to ask questions at the time of the drill for immediate assistance.
What happens to left behind equipment?
It is highly recommended that you mark your equipment. Lost or left behind equipment is not guaranteed to be returned unless the equipment is clearly marked with a name and phone number.
What meals are provided?
Meals will not be provided for camp. Please make sure to pack a lunch or have lunch plans. There are many restaurants located near FGCU campus.
