Duke Baseball Camps, hosted on the campus of Duke University in beautiful Durham, North Carolina, provide some of the finest youth and high school baseball camps in the country. We offer a wide range of camps: prospects camps, specialty clinics focusing on specific areas of the game, and traditional summer camps. Whether you are a young player just learning the game, a middle school player ready to take your game up a notch, or a high school player with aspirations of playing at the next level, Duke baseball has a camp to suit your needs.

Head Coach Chris Pollard and his staff are present for all camps and take great pride in the quality of instruction, always ensuring a 1 to 8 coach to camper ratio. Each of the camps and/or clinics that are offered at Duke are specifically designed and structured to help build the fundamentals and confidence of the individual player. All Duke Baseball Camps and Clinics are high energy with great attention to detail and safety. We want your experience at Duke baseball camps to exceed your expectations. All Duke Baseball Camps are hosted at historic Coombs Field on the campus of Duke University. With a field-turf playing surface, a 6,000 square foot indoor facility(featuring batting cages and indoor mounds), and a covered grandstand with seating capacity for up to 2,000 people, Coombs Field is an ideal venue to host a great baseball camp experience.

Description

The Kid's Academy is designed to give young players the opportunity to learn the game in a safe, structured (and FUN) environment. Learning the fundamentals is a crucial aspect to the success of any player. Players will learn individual skills, baseball fundamentals, and team strategy. The Academy will teach through the areas of Outfield, Infield, Pitching, Catching, Rundowns, and Baserunning.

  
 

The Games Camp is designed to be taken in addition to the Kid's Academy and is an opportunity to utilize the baseball skills learned in the morning session in a competitive games environment. While not playing games, campers will participate in various drills and stations that emphasize hitting mechanics and fundamentals.

Equipment
Each camper must bring his own baseball equipment. Players should bring a glove, bat, cleats/spikes, running shoes or turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment they feel necessary to compete. Catchers must bring their own gear. Helmets will be provided. Every camper in attendance will be given a camp T-shirt.

Description

The Duke Father & Son Baseball Camp presents a great opportunity for parents to join their young baseball player, first-hand, in an "on the field" baseball development setting.

 

The Father & Son Camp allows fathers to train, learn, and practice, side-by-side with their sons, as they complete the various drills/stations that lead to success on the baseball field.

 

The Duke Baseball coaching staff will provide age specific instruction designed to improve each individual, while helping these players reach their full baseball potential. The primary focus of the Father and Son camp will be centered in the areas of pitching, catching, hitting, infield, and outfield skills; providing father's, and their sons, with individual drills that they can utilize together to help the young player's development.
 
 

The ultimate goal of this camp is to provide answers and solutions to questions that most fathers and youth players encounter. This 2-day camp is designed to be a great bonding experience for fathers and sons, as they enjoy time together while also playing and learning the greatest game on earth. All campers and fathers will receive a Duke Baseball Camp T-shirt to remember their Duke Baseball experience.

Description

The Duke Baseball Elite Camp is designed to give the serious player the opportunity to experience what it's like to be a Blue Devil baseball player.

 

Live the life of a Division I baseball player in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Players will be treated like members of the Duke Baseball Team; wearing game uniform tops THAT THEY WILL KEEP AT THE END OF THE CAMP and will have access to our locker room and club house area.

 

Players will stay in dorms on campus, eat on campus, work out in the weight room, practice at Jack Coombs Field and live like Duke Players.

 

Players will go through actual team practices, drills, and workouts in addition to receiving video analysis of their swings and pitching mechanics. Players will also compete in games at beautiful Jack Coombs Field on the campus of Duke University.

The Duke Baseball Prospect Camp represents a great opportunity for prospective student-athletes, who are committed to playing at the next level to showcase their abilities to top academic college programs, in a camp setting that provides an opportunity to improve and refine their talents.

 

This camp is designed for the high school player who has aspirations of playing baseball at the highest level (College or Pro).

 

We hire other college/high school coaches to work our camps in addition to our Duke Coaches. Other coaches that have worked previous camps have come from the following schools: Harvard, Dartmouth, Columbia, Bucknell, Swarthmore, Davidson, UNCW, Gardner-Webb, Milligan, E. Tennessee St, Bard, Catawba, Pfeiffer, and Belmont Abbey.

 

The intensive three-day format will emphasize individual position play, hitting fundamentals, and live game experience. If you are a prospective student-athlete who wants to play college baseball at a highly academic institution, this is the camp for you! Enrollment is limited to ensure personal attention in each and every aspect of the game, so sign up soon! Previous Prospect Camps have sold out in advance!
