Our Story ...
The birth of Doyle Baseball grew out of a desire to give something back to the game. Brothers and former professional baseball players Denny (an alum of the Red Sox, Angels and Phillies), Brian (an alum of the Rangers, Yankees, A's, Blue Jays and Indians) and Blake (an alum of the Orioles and Reds) had that desire when they founded Doyle in 1978, and our entire staff possesses that today.
President: Doyle Camps
Denny played 8 years in the Majors, 12 years total in professional baseball as a second baseman, with the Phillies (’67-’73), Angels (’74) and the Red Sox (’75-’77). He was blessed to start at second base in arguably the best World Series in baseball history, with the 1975 American League Champion Boston Red Sox. As early as 1971, Denny was a pioneer in utilizing video at the Major League level, assessing and evaluating his fellow players such as Mike Schmidt, Larry Bowa, and Greg Luzinski, to name a few.
Following his professional career, Denny combined his passions for baseball and youth/player development with this education background (BA in education from Morehead State University) to establish Doyle Baseball in 1978, and he continues finding new and innovative ways to share his expertise with athletes just learning the game to those at the professional level. In addition, his playing and scouting background affords him the opportunity to stay a step ahead of the industry in evaluating and developing ball players.

Blake was drafted out of high school by the Baltimore Orioles organization and played 9 years of professional baseball with the Orioles and Reds, where he was a 2 – time All-Star second baseman. Blake led his teams in numerous statistical categories including total hits, stolen bases, fielding percentage, and even starred as a left-handed pitcher at the AAA level.
Blake joined forces with his older brother, Denny, and his twin brother, Brian, in 1978 to establish Doyle Baseball. He plays an integral role in the curriculum development in order to positively affect today’s youth and young adults in their search for their “Champion” inside. Blake is known for his gifted ability to reach a student through his charismatic personality on the baseball field and to connect with youth of today. In addition, he is a sought after speaker on the subjects of his faith in God, motivation, leadership, and teambuilding.
