The Etherton Invitational is the University of San Francisco's new pitching and catching camp. Named after former College Pitcher of the Year and current USF Pitching Coach Seth Etherton, our goal is help instruct the proper ways to develop as a pitcher or catcher.
There's a lot more to pitching and catching than throwing hard and receiving well. The Etherton Invitational is meant to focus on combining physical skills with those intangible skills that make good players, great players.
Players will have a chance to have their bullpen's viewed by Seth and Catching Coach Steven Domecus in the early morning session. The rest of the morning and afternoon will be spent on develop proper mechanics, effective throwing routines and arm care, and understanding the all-encompassing skill-set that creates a Division I player.
At the University of San Francisco, it's about more than what happens between the lines of a baseball field. Our Etherton Invitational will help us develop your skills and insights as a baseball player, but also as a young man.
