Bohl Diamond at Blair Field is used by Long Beach State under an extended lease from the City of Long Beach and is in Recreation Park at the corner of 10th Street and Park Avenue. Morning Hitting Session Description: We will teach and implement the proper mechanics of the swing. Players will get a chance to get individualized work with our players and coaches. We will break down video of the swing with the players to find areas to improve moving forward. A main area of focus will be the mental aspect of being a good hitter and team offensive player. We will teach the approach and mentality we use in the Dirtbags program. Ultimately, we want the player to find areas to improve in his offensive game and have a plan to get better throughout the offseason.
Defensive Afternoon Session Description: We will teach and implement the proper mechanics of infield, outfield, catching, and pitching. The player can choose which area of focus he wants to participate in at camp. We will utilize video to break down mechanics in order for the individual player to improve. We will teach and practice the mentality we use in the Dirtbags program on the defensive side of the baseball. Ultimately, we want the player to find areas to improve in his defensive game and have a plan to get better throughout the offseason.
Morning Session (8:30am - 11:30am) - Hitting
Afternoon Session (12:00pm - 3:00pm) - Defense
Cost: $25.00 each session. $10.00 Discount sign up for both.

Each camper attending the Long Beach State Dirtbag Baseball Camp must be covered by his or her parents' insurance. Any and all medical expenses resulting from injury or illness will be the responsibility of the camper's private insurance company. Please print, sign and deliver this document to the registration check in. Download Waiver Form
Drop off/pick up is free in lot 13 in front of Pyramid off Atherton and Merriam Way. Campus Field is behind the Pyramid. If planning to watch camp, an all-day parking pass is $9.00.
No lunch will be provided but water will be available to all campers. Lunch is offered for $6.00 per day. We have a snack bar available in the morning and during lunch with items costing $1.00 or $2.00
This is day camp only. No overnight option available.
Airport Pick-up / Drop-off Information
Closest airport is Long Beach airport. Airport pick up is NOT available for this session.
Long Beach State University Baseball merchandise will be available to purchase while at camp.
What if I have to cancel a camp? We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
Athletic Trainer: An athletic trainer will be provided during camp. In the event of an emergency the EMS will be called.

Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication.
