Diamond Club Baseball Camps

Diamond Club Baseball Camps, a national affiliate program of America’s Baseball Camps, provides year-round training to players of all ages and ability levels with the goal of making each individual a better player. With a very low camper-to-coach ratio, players will receive personalized instruction on the development of their physical and mental skills.

Diamond Club coaches will communicate and demonstrate to players how proper fundamentals and a good mental approach will make each individual more successful. Players will leave camp with various drills they can use to correct and enhance their skills, as well as an understanding of how to practice and prepare for game time. We stress the importance of hard work, quality repetitions, focused intensity, positive attitude and the responsibility each player has to his teammates, coaches, parents and himself!

"Speed Never Has A Bad Day"!
The Speed & Agility Baseball training system has been designed to help you maximize your team's speed. This routine has been successfully implemented with many baseball teams from little league, high school, college and the professional ranks. Our core training philosophies:

Organization - It is vitally important that the workouts be fully organized.  Attendees will receive a camp t-shirt

Progression - This training routine is designed to progressively get harder from week to week.

The 2 Golden Rules - There are two rules that should govern much of this training. First, every repetition the athlete performs must be technically correct (even if they have to walk through the motion). Training with an inefficient motion is only going to reinforce the bad habits. Second, every motion must be performed at full speed. You don't get fast by training slow, so everything must be kicked into high gear.

We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our national locations. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.

Description

This 8-week program will walk kids through a full dynamic warm up to get their muscle firing, blood flowing, and improve their mobility and flexibility. They will then be instructed through a total body working designed to improve fundamental movement patterns and appropriate lifting form. Kids will progress from body weight movements to using dumbbells, kettle bells, bands and incorporating plyometrics and explosive movements. They will then finish up with a short conditioning session combining components of speed and agility to improve both aerobic and anaerobic processes. Last but not least, kids will be taught how to go through an appropriate cool down to help with muscle regeneration and recovery.

Why Kids should participate in a strength training program

With the ever growing prominence of youth sports and early sport specialization, it is essential to insure that young athletes have a solid foundation for future athletic development and success. Athletes who regularly participate in a strength training program prevent muscle imbalances, strengthen ligaments and tendons, develop better coordinated motor control patterns, increased flexibility and range of motion, decreased likelihood of injury, and add to the longevity of athletic success.

Increases in strength also lead to significant increases in power, speed, agility, and mobility (components of athleticism). In addition to these, there are also increases in tendon and ligament strength and bone mineral density.

In addition to the physiological benefits of strength training, there are also multiple psychological benefits associated with strength training. It is well documented that strength training leads to improved confidence in young athletes as well as, improved performance, enhanced self-esteem, elevated self-efficacy, and reduced anxiety and stress.
