Davidson Wildcat Baseball Camps

Davidson Wildcat Baseball Camps provide some of the finest youth and high school baseball camps and instructional skills clinics anywhere. Whether it’s a weeklong summer camp, specialty camps, fall clinics or winter holiday camps there is something for everyone virtually year-round.

 

With experience at every level of the game, these baseball camps can help you learn the necessary skills to perform better at any level. Each clinic or baseball camp in Davidson is specifically designed and structured to help build the fundamentals and confidence of the individual player.

 

Our camps range in ages and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you do not see a date that works for you at this time please check back to the site as we add new sessions often. Each camp is hosted by our staff here at DC.

Davidson Wildcat Baseball Camps is a privately run sports camp, and is not operated by or through Davidson College. The Camp is not sponsored, controlled, or supervised by Davidson College, but rather is under the sole sponsorship and supervision of the Camp Director, Dick Cooke.

Description

This camp is for the player aspiring to further develop individual skills and knowledge of the game as they approach high school and middle school baseball.

 

Small enrollment allows the camp to be structured as though the Davidson staff were conducting practice for the college team.

 

Each day will feature individual offensive and defensive skill development and team defensive segments as well as playing competitively.

 

Enrollment Limited to 35 players.

 

Directed by Davidson head coach Dick Cooke and his coaching staff.

 

Equipment Campers should wear baseball attire and bring necessary cleats, glove, bat, etc. Bats are available at the camp for those who do not bring their own.

This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.

 

Miscellaneous Information

What if I have to cancel a camp? We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.

Description

Thank you for your interest in the Wildcat Baseball Camps. The intent of the Davidson Wildcat baseball camp is to provide a fun, educational environment for players of all ability levels.

 

The staff, which consists of coaches with collegiate and professional playing background as well as professional, collegiate, international and high school coaching experience, is dedicated to teaching and reinforcing the proper mechanics and mental approach in all aspects of the game to help the players maximize their ability and enhance their passion for the game.

 

The camp day will include drills, lecture, simulated and live game situations.

 

Campers will receive a written evaluation signed and reviewed by the team coach and camp director. Campers will also receive a Davidson Wildcat baseball camp t-shirt.

Thank you for your interest in the High School Prospect and Instruction Camp. The intent of the High School Prospect and Instruction Camp is to provide a fun, educational environment for players of all ability levels.

 

The staff, which consists of coaches with collegiate and professional playing background as well as professional, collegiate, international and high school coaching experience, is dedicated to teaching and reinforcing the proper mechanics and mental approach in all aspects of the game to help the players maximize their ability and enhance their passion for the game.

 

Dick Cooke will be joined by assistant coaches Ryan Munger and Aaron Lynch as well as other area coaches to operate the high school camp held in August. This camp features small enrollment which will allow high school players to take advantage of an all-inclusive instructional environment. Instruction will be offered in infield and outfield play, pitching and catching as well as hitting. Live games will allow the players to apply their skills in a competitive environment.

 

Equipment Players should wear baseball attire and bring necessary cleats, glove, bat, etc. Bats are available at the camp for those who do not bring their own. Catchers must bring their own gear.
