Colonial Baseball Instruction Camps

The Colonial Baseball Instruction Camps in Williamsburg are dedicated to providing baseball camps that are both instructional and informational along with creating a great atmosphere to learn! We actively teach and encourage Sportsmanship, Hustle and Good Behavior. At many of our camps, players are awarded with equipment giveaways/awards for exhibiting positive behavior.

The coaching staff at Colonial Baseball Instruction takes pride in teaching the sport of baseball to players of all ages and ability levels. All staff have had to pass the SSCI National Background Screening and are determined to provide the best possible learning experience for our campers.

Learn drills to take home and practice with a parent/coach that gets results.

Within each session, your player will take tons of quality reps using the latest proven drills to help groove your swing. Each session will have a different focus so new concepts and drills are learned at each camp. Each session ends with live hitting.
Players will learn new drills to take with them for their own practice repertoire. 
Tons of live reps and drill work. Instruction will be appropriate for individual skill level and current physical condition. Players will be paired according to age, physical maturity and experience.

There will be 4 sessions each lasting 2.5 hours each.  Sign up for one or all 4.  Each session will have a different theme such as: "Balance is the key to hitting", "Creating Proper Bat Path", "Keeping the hands inside the ball", "Hitting to all Fields", Creating Power in your Swing, Hitting Off-Speed Pitches, "Mental Approach to your At Bat" and more.

Description

Join current AA Minor League Catcher, Ryan Hissey (Blue Jays) and the CBI staff in our fall catchers academy.  There will be 5, 1.5-hour sessions of catcher's drills and catcher's fundamentals that build off each other.

 

Well teach your player the proper stances, signaling, receiving, blocking, safety, fielding bunts and how to throw runners out.

Times: 5:00pm / Ends: 6:30pm ..... All sessions included

 

Camp Details:

  • This camp is designed to increase your skill set and knowledge of catching.
  • Catchers will learn and practice drills specific to all facets of the catching position.
  • Each catcher will receive a copy of our 3-Day Drill Series. This should be followed during the offseason, preseason and while in-season to stay sharp.   
  • Well also teach the mental side of the game; calling pitches, communicating with your pitcher, coach, infield and Umpire.
  • Catchers will be grouped by age and skill level.
  • Camper to coach ratio no more than 5:1

Home for Winter Break? Preparing for the Holidays? While you shop, cook and/or clean, drop your player off at our baseball camp.

 

This baseball camp is designed for players from 7 to 13 years old looking to learn and practice proper baseball fundamentals.

 

This is a two day camp that will build off the previous day..

 

Three hours each day focusing on hitting, throwing, fielding, pitching and fun indoor games for our youth players.

 

We keep our camper/staff ratio no more than 5 to 1 when indoors so there are only a limited # of openings. 

 

Players will be grouped by age and skill level.

 

Station work with skill appropriate instruction to include: 

Tee work and swing breakdown
Live batting practice
Infield defense drills
Pitching and throwing instruction
Base Running Instruction
Fun tactical small sided games and competitions
