Porch signs with Pensacola
The Pensacola Pelicans have signed University of North Alabama outfielder Chase Porch to a contract with the minor league team. Porch was a two-year standout at North Alabama and earned All-Gulf South conference and All-South Region honors this season. In his senior year with the Lions, Porch hit .374 and had 53 hits with 45 RBI's on the year. He also brings a solid defensive presence to Pensacola as he posted a .980 fielding percentage and tied for the team lead with 21 stolen bases. The Pelicans are hoping Porch can provide more depth to an already deep 2010 squad. |
How do I prepare for a baseball camp or showcase?Be in good physical and mental shape. As always you should be eating well with a proper diet for a athlete. Have your arm in shape and ready to go. Go into it with a positive attitude. Attending a college camp is a terrific opportunity to be evaluated by a college coaching staff and you want to be prepared. |
