Vanderhook Introduced as New Titan Head Coach
After a thorough search process that included input from all facets of the Titan baseball family, Cal State Fullerton Athletic Director Brian Quinn announced on Friday the hiring of Rick Vanderhook as the Titans' fifth Div. I head baseball coach. He will be introduced in a press conference Monday morning at 10 a.m. at Goodwin Field, home of the four-time national champion Titans.
"I have never met anyone with more passion for Titan baseball than Rick, and I couldn't be happier to bring him home where he belongs," said Quinn, who awarded Vanderhook a three-year contract through the 2014 season.
A coaching veteran of 12 Div. I conference championships, 20 postseason appearances, eight Super Regionals appearances, 11 trips to the College World Series and two national championships, Vanderhook comes back to lead a program that has been a fixture among the nation's elite since 1975.

Titan Baseball Academy
Titan Baseball Academy in California offer an opportunity for players to receive valuable instruction on the fundamental skills of baseball. Campers will be made aware of the characteristics that define successful baseball players. Organized games between campers will provide a competitive outlet after specific drills have been practiced. Contests built into drills capture the learner's attention, which results in attentive practice.
Drill progressions will be aimed towards recognizing and developing good habits in all aspects of the game. General courtesy, respect for teammates and opponents and the importance of hard work will be taught to the campers through example by the Titan coaches.
