USA Baseball Staff
Wright State head coach Rob Cooper joined the USA National Team coaching staff as an assistant coach during the summer of 2009. Cooper joined the USA National Team head coach Rick Jones (Tulane head coach), Team USA assistant Mike Kennedy (Elon head coach) and Team USA assistant Dan McDonnell (Louisville head coach).
"Rob's experience both with Team USA and Rick Jones is invaluable," said Eric Campbell, General Manager of the USA Baseball National Team. "We are extremely glad to have Coach Cooper back and the continuity he brings to our staff."
Cooper enters his 8th season at the helm of the Raiders program and has posted 198 victories - including six-straight 30+ win campaigns - and made three trips to the NCAA Tournament (2006 - Corvallis Regional, 2009 - Ft Worth Regional, 2011 - College Station Regional). Cooper has seen seven of his players get drafted over the past four seasons, including a school-record three players in the 2008 MLB First Year Player Draft.
