The 2009 Jim Morris Winter Hitting Camp is a special two day camp. The focus will be on the development of each player's offensive abilities. Topics for this Hitting Camp will be swing mechanics, approach at the plate, drills and hitting strategy. All will be demonstrated and discussed. Players will be broken down individually and coached through drill work.

Miami Ranked No. 18 In Collegiate Baseball's Preseason Poll

Fresh off its 11th College World Series appearance in head coach Jim Morris' 15 seasons at the helm of the University of Miami baseball program, the Hurricanes are ranked No. 18 in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's Fabulous 40 Preseason NCAA Division I baseball poll announced Monday.
Overall, four Atlantic Coast Conference teams are ranked in the Top 20, with North Carolina coming in at No. 2, Florida State at No. 7 and Georgia Tech at No. 12. LSU will enter the 2009 season as the nation's top-ranked team in Collegiate Baseball's poll, while Rice, Georgia and Stanford round out the Top 5 behind the Tigers and the Tar Heels.
The 2009 Hurricanes will feature 19 returning players - including 16 letterwinners - from last year's team that reached the College World Series for the 23rd time in school history and finished with an overall record of 53-11.

Jim Morris Baseball Camps
The purpose of Jim Morris Baseball Camps at the University of Miami is to make every individual a better ball player. Come join us for a great Florida baseball camp or a high school baseball event. We successfully accomplish this by building on strengths as well as recognizing and improving areas of weakness. Our Florida baseball camps and youth clinics help players grow in sportsmanship, leadership, and citizenship skills.
Our baseball camps range in ages and we should have a program to fit your needs. If you do not see a date that works for you at this time please check back to the site as we add new sessions often. Come see us in Florida for a baseball campband let us help you to the next level of the game.
