Pacific Baseball Winter Clinic Sessions

Pacific University Baseball is proud to announce its annual Pacific Baseball Holiday Clinic Sessions for Hitting, Pitching, and Defense.
The Camp will be directed by the Pacific University Baseball Coaching Staff and will accommodate all high school players (recommended for players ages 14-18).
Areas covered for the Pitching Clinic sessions will include pitching mechanics, off speed pitches, pick offs, PFPs, conditioning, med balls, bands, and mental game. The Hitting Clinics will include hitting mechanics, mental approach to hitting as well as drills that prospects can use later to enhance their game. Hitters will receive a video analysis from the Pacific Coaching Staff, and will be given a copy of their performance for their own personal review in the future. Finally, the Defensive component will cover infield, outfield, and catching fundamentals. Prospects will receive a thorough skills and scouting evaluation with specific points of emphasis. No better opportunity exists to get an in-depth look at Pacific Baseball and its coaching staff.
These clinics are a great way for advanced youth to get more professional advice on playing their sport at the next level. It allows youth baseball players a peek at collegiate style baseball. Traditionally held on a college campus it can be helpful for high school players who would like to showcase their skills or learn more about a particular college program and their coaching staff.

Details on the Camp Process
Our feeling is that once you have narrowed your list of schools that you're interested in to around 5 or so, is very important to attend one of the camps that those schools have on campus. The benefits of attending a school's camp are:
1. Showcase your ability in a small group vs. a large showcase setting.
2. Get to know the coaching staff and evaluate their coaching style and philosophy
3. Allow the coaches to get to know you on a personal level.
4. Tour the campus, and get a feel for the environment and community.
Key to Success
The key to your success in the college selection process is the willingness to be proactive. Get your name out there and initiate contact with the schools you are interested in, both athletically and academically. The recruiting process is a two-way street, so to speak. We want potential members of our program to take some time to learn about our College and its baseball program, while, at the same time, we need to put forth the same effort to learn and gather information about you. Ultimately, the process is about the best "fit" and the best "feel," and this process allows you to make an informed decision.
Top Indoor Facility
All sessions will be held in the Stoller Athletic Center Indoor Turf Facility which just received a major renovation and upgrade within the last several weeks. The FieldTurf surface in the fieldhouse is the newest addition in Pacific's athletics facilities over the last five years. The University spent over $86,000 for the installation of the artificial surface, nearly $54,000 of which came from a special fundraising appeal at this year's Pacific University Legends Golf Classic. According to Pacific Director of Athletics Ken Schumann, the University is the only NCAA Division III program in the west, and just one of a handful in the nation, that has an indoor artificial surface of this size. The facility is one of three of its size in the State of Oregon (Oregon and Oregon State). Prospects will be able to conduct live defensive and offensive drills for the duration of the clinics in the new indoor facility, creating an environment for optimum learning and skills development.
Prospects must provide their own glove, shoes, baseball gear (catching equipment, bats, helmet, etc.) and suitable baseball attire. Prospects should bring their own lunch.
To assure quality instruction and preserve the learning atmosphere of the clinic sessions, there will be a limit to the number of campers in this session. If you would like to be assured a slot, please register at the earliest possible date.

Camps are open to anyone and are only limited by age and open camp size.

Check-in for camp will begin at 9:00am the first day of camp. A check-in table will be set up at Stoller Athletic Center for campers to verify registration and waiver information. All camper accounts must be reconciled prior to the start of camp.

This is not an "overnight" camp. Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own accommodations.
What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection".
We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 7 days prior to the start of a camp. If you cancel within 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps.
Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
