Description

All high school players are invited to the Winter Showcase Camp at Sam Houston State. This camp is an opportunity for high school players to participate in an evaluation setting in front of the SHSU coaching staff. Each position player will be evaluated in a 60-yard sprint, a defensive skill session, and batting practice on the field. Each pitcher will throw a bullpen to a catcher and be evaluated for velocity, command, and quality of pitches. Every player will receive a written evaluation from the camp staff. All camp activities will be conducted at the top-flight baseball facilities of Sam Houston State, including beautiful Don Sanders Stadium and our indoor hitting facility. Our new artificial playing surface will allow us to run events in almost any weather conditions. Our showcases are the best way for the elite players to show their skills to our coaching staff.
