07/23/2018 - 07/26/2018 ~ Monday - Thursday Registration Ends: 07/23/2018$250.00 | Richard F. Bedard Field 125 Cortland Street, Springfield, MA 01109

Description

Be a part of the fourth annual Yellow Jackets Summer Baseball Camp. Our camp is designed to teach kids the fundamentals, philosophies and strategies of the game of baseball. At the same time, it is set up so the campers have fun playing the game that they love.

The day is broken up into two sessions, with the morning consisting of primarily defensive work and the afternoon focusing on the offensive side. We will take the campers through many of the same routines and drills that our college players go through. The campers will receive technical instruction at each position followed by drills to emphasize and practice the points that were just discussed. There will also be two different instructional games throughout the course of the day.

The first game, stickball, is played toward the end of the morning. Stickball is a fun throwback type game that is played with a skinnier wood bat and a tennis ball. It teaches the players to "square up" the ball while letting them have that fun playground type atmosphere. The second game is a regular game that finishes the day. We use this game as an instructional opportunity to teach players the appropriate plays in each situation. Coaches are instructed to take time between plays to make sure players know the situation that is in front of them.

This camp is an opportunity for kids to develop their baseball knowledge and skills. It is also an opportunity to make new friends, increase social interaction and have a great time.

Refund Policy
We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection".
We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps.
Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
