Loren S. Hibbs Charlotte 49er Baseball Camps

Thank you for taking an interest in Charlotte 49er Baseball! In the coming year, we will offer several camps that will focus on individual development and team concepts. Continue to check back here as our camp information will be updated regularly.

As a program, we take a lot of pride in playing the game correctly. Our hope with our camps is to provide fundamental instruction that will allow each camper the ability to improve their skills. The 49er staff will be present and very involved in each camp. We will also hire instructors who are currently playing and teaching the game themselves.

Our baseball camps and showcases in North Carolina are a great opportunity to take your game to the next level. Each camp is hosted by our college staff here at Charlotte.

Description

This camp is an advanced level camp with instruction that is geared toward preparing middle school age players to move to the next level.

 

Note: These dates were selected to coordinate with the end of the school year in our area.

 

The camp goal is an 8:1 ratio of campers to staffers

 

Cost: $200.00 (plus a $14.00 registration fee)

Pick up Monday - Thursday .... 1:15pm each day at Stadium Entrance

 

Equipment: Everyone needs to bring their own bat, glove and workout attire. A Charlotte trainer will be on the premises all week to ensure that there are plenty of fluids available, as well as to care for any injuries that might occur.

 

Preparing For Camp: Each camper will need to drink plenty of fluids before camp starts, during camp, and at nights after camp. Limit the amount of sugar and caffeine. Campers need to prepare for camp by spending some time outside in the days leading up to camp. We will take lots of breaks and provide plenty of fluids. Each camper should be encouraged to let the camp staff know if they need any breaks.

 

What To Wear: It will be hot. T-Shirts and shorts are fine. If your camper wants to wear baseball pants, that is ok, but he will be hot. Apply sunscreen to your camper, they will be outside for a majority of the day.

 

Charlotte 49er Camps are open to all entrants and only limited by age restraints.

 

Check-in

Drop off begins at 7:45am and is supervised. Pick up lasts until 1:15pm

 

Meals

Meals will not be provided. Please pack your lunch from home.

 

Miscellaneous Information

What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on cancelled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.

Description

Campers will be instructed in the fundamentals of the game each day through a variety of resources.

We will split the camp into smaller groups, based 1st on age. Each afternoon will include game play with instruction and coaching. At the conclusion of the camp, there will be a small awards ceremony. 

 

The camp goal is an 8:1 ratio of campers to staffers.  

 

Cost: $200.00 (plus a $14.00 registration fee)

Description

This camp is designed to introduce Charlotte 49er Baseball to the Advanced High School player. Instruction and drill work is formatted to college level standards and the Charlotte Baseball Coaching Staff will be extremely hands on as we run 2 days of practice with the campers. Each camper will receive an evaluation within two weeks of the conclusion of camp.

 

Instruction and drill work will take place both days of the camp. Day 2 will focus on pitchers throwing live to hitters in a controlled scrimmage as well as modified games to round out Day 2 activities.

 

Cost
$225.00 (plus a $15.75 registration fee)

Equipment
Everyone needs to bring their own bat, helmet, glove and workout attire. With our new infield turf, we prefer that campers wear molded cleats instead of metal cleats if at all possible. Lunch will be on their own - We will be preparing our coaches for the afternoon session. A Charlotte trainer will be on the premises all week to ensure that there are plenty of fluids available, as well as to care for any injuries that might occur.

Campers should be in game playing condition prior to the camp.
