HOUSTON -- University of Houston junior third baseman Jared Triolo was selected 72nd overall by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the Competitive Balance Round B of the 2019 MLB First-Year Player Draft late Monday night.

Senior first baseman Joe Davis was taken by the Boston Red Sox in the 19th Round (Pick 587). Junior right-handed reliever Fred Villarreal was tabbed by the Seattle Mariners in the 25th Round (Pick 756). Junior reliever Devon Roedahl rounded out the draft for Houston being chosen by Boston in the 27th Round (Pick 827).

This Monday-Thursday camp is a great opportunity for players to develop their skills in all areas of the game. This camp will specialize in hitting, fielding, proper way to play catch, game situations, and much more. Each camper will learn the fundamentals in these areas as well as many drills to take home with them. Campers will also get to showcase their skills during games each day. Campers are divided by age and ability level for drills and games.
Campers will be grouped the beginning of camp the first day based on their age groups-if they are attending with friends we will accommodate them to be together for the week.
At check-in, campers will all receive a camp t-shirt!
Full Day Option: $275.00
Half Day Option: $225.00
Full Day Option: 9:00am-3:00pm Monday-Thursday
Half Day Option: 9:00am-12:00pm Monday-Thursday
What to bring
All campers will need to bring their own glove, bat, helmet, baseball hat, turf/tennis shoes (and cleats if they want), and catchers equipment (if needed for camp). Please make sure the campers name is clearly printed on all pieces of equipment that he brings to camp. All other equipment (balls, tees) will be provided.
Here at the University of Houston be will be using beautiful Don Sanders Field at Darryl & Lori Schroeder Park for drills and games throughout the camps along with Yeoman Indoor Facility and the UH Batting cages down the LF line. Camp will be held rain or shine.
Please make sure you sign up using an email account that you frequently check as this will be how I get information about the camps to you. Having the proper email account will help to eliminate any miscommunication.
We have indoor space available and will use it in the event of weather and/or heat
We will have a trainer for each camp so if parents need to drop medication they can do so with them each day or at the beginning of the week
All campers will be dismissed from the front of the baseball stadium, requiring whomever is picking up to signed the camper(s) out
Per NCAA rules all camps and clinics held by the University of Houston are open to everyone, enrollment is only limited based on age, grade level or number restrictions be each camp.
Check in will start the first morning of camp at 8:15am in front of the Baseball Field. Lot 16B is a temporary parking area designated for drop off and pick up only. For half or full day parking, please go to the visitors parking garage.

All parking on campus is paid parking, if you are staying for the full day please park in the Guest Parking Garage located down the street from the baseball field. Due to the construction of our new building the parking lot that was located between the cages and the field is no longer available. There will be NO full day parking in the lot between the softball field and tennis courts (15H). There will be a 60 minute drop off and pick up window at the beginning and end of the day in 16B (directly across the street from the baseball field toward Cullen)
Campers can buy lunch each day for $5. We will alternate days between hamburger/chips/drink and 2 pieces of pizza/chips/drink. We will have a camp bank parents can deposit money in the first day (and throughout the week) of camp for their child to purchase snacks throughout the day at the concession stand Water bottles are $20 for the week which get unlimited Gatorade/soft drinks throughout the camp (water is always available throughout entire camp at various locations)
Hats will be for sale for $25 at the beginning and conclusion of camp each day

What if I have to cancel a camp?
We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection". We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid. The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
